Protex is a comprehensive reusable drape and gown rental service that can be designed to suit the specific needs of the customer.
All products are manufactured from high tech polyester microfibre or trilaminates and are designed to comply with the stringent requirements of EN 13795. These materials should not be confused with traditional ‘reusables’ manufactured from cotton or calico.
Protex can supply either bulk non sterile components for assembly in onsite CSSD’s, bulk deliveries of fully sterile and ready to use packs, or a fully managed top up service with all items being delivered to their point of use on a daily basis.
With all the packs being assembled locally in the UK, a reusable service is not only the most environmentally friendly solution but will also help our customers to reduce their carbon footprint.
Aside from being efficient, convenient and cost-effective, Protex is also an environmentally responsible drape and gown solution for all UK operating theatres. In addition to having competitive unit costs, with no hidden charges, a reusable service can deliver considerable cost savings in clinical waste disposal, incineration, distribution and sterilization, and is fully VAT reclaimable.
