Sunlight has been active in the reusable linen and procedure pack market for many years as market leader in sterile surgical drape and gown pack rental. With the acquisition of Rocialle and BDF, the company now offers a broader-based range of healthcare services to the surgical sector as Sunlight Clinical Solutions.
This expansion ensures that the company’s services are delivered seamlessly and efficiently, and will help focus effort more closely on developing new products and services for this sector. Key to this rationale is the complementary nature of Sunlight, Rocialle and BDF’s existing product offerings. For example Rocialle’s Opera brand of custom procedure trays is the market-leader, with a range of products that will often include single-use drapes and gowns. With the Guardian brand from BDF, Sunlight Clinical Solutions is now a leading manufacturer of these products, supplying to hospitals and to other healthcare organisations, while with the ProteX range Sunlight provides a significant proportion of the re-usable drapes and gowns used in the UK. At the same time, Rocialle’s Optimo single-use instruments and consumables, together with the decontamination services division, IHSS, add new dimensions.
To support this range of products and services, Sunlight Clinical Solutions has an established infrastructure, and in-house services include E-beam sterilisation and NHS PaSA-compatible bar coding, one of the largest medical clean rooms in Europe, and a clinical support team. With the flexibility to provide solutions tailored to the customer’s needs, and already providing some customers with a Totally Managed Service, topping up stores of product within the customers’ facilities, Sunlight Clinical Solutions is ideally placed to provide the Medical Healthcare industry with a cost-effective and secure supply of complete clinical solutions.
